  We didn't actually have plans to purchase new carpet when 50 Floor came out as we were just beginning the process. The total price for the whole house was enough to make us go ahead and contract. Very competitive. Installation day was great. We had been warned it might take longer than a day because we were "heavily occupied" and doing the whole house (which is a nice way of saying we had a lot stuff) but they came in, moved our furniture and got to business. Done by 5 p.m. We had two issues that we noticed after installation that they came back out to address in a very timely manner. A couple of notes - hindsight. Getting whole house carpeting is a huge task for the homeowner. It is akin to moving because, while they will move all your furniture for you, you have to unload all bookcases, strip all the beds, more or less empty the closets, and empty file cabinets or any piece of furniture that has stuff in it and make sure all surface items like lamps etc are moved. It took me better part of a week to get ready for them. I feel like we had a very disorganized move where everything got unpacked all at the same time. The upside is that it has helped us purge 18 years of accumulation but it has taken us (both working full-time) several weeks to get everything back where it needs to go. That isn't a 50 Floor problem, I'm just warning you that the process might be a little more involved than it seems at first glance. We purchased a high quality carpet with full pet stain warranty. We went with the mid grade in our family room as our primary living space and the lower grade (at the sales person's recommendation) for the rest of the house. I appreciate that we didn't get a hard sell to go with the more expensive option, but in retrospect, we should have gone with the mid grade whole house and paid the extra. There is a distinct difference in the cushion feel between the two and I wish we had the better feeling carpet everywhere. Overall, excellent experience.
